In today's culture where most people's preferred source of information is a computer or a mobile device; websites play an important role for communities such as St. Paul's Bloor Street.
BDQWorks was hired to create a community driven website and a customized CMS.
The St. Paul's website requires lots of information to be updated on a regular basis (announcements, upcoming events/courses, newsletters and sermons to name a few). Our goal was to make these tasks easier for the St. Paul's staff, who aren't very technical.
The CMS that St. Paul's chose for their new website was Drupal. In addition to its default CMS capabilities, we created several add-ons including a microsite extension, sermon content library with the ability to add bible scripture references, featured images and more.
Calendar Web Application
Being a large community, majority of St. Paul's members visit the website to find information on upcoming events, courses and other gatherings. We created a custom calendar web application for St. Paul's that keeps track of all events and courses online.
In addition to organizing events effortlessly; we made events become visible on relevant pages. For example, baptism events are visible on the baptism page until the event has passed.
