We created a web application for LSC Canada which enabled current and potential students to make course choices based on their age, language level and the city of their choice (Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver.) Once the courses and course dates have been picked, the program guides the students through a series of questions which generates different accommodation and airport pickup options.

There were many conditions and variables that were in play inside this web application. For instance, every course had different start and end dates, discounts based on weeks of stay and some courses weren't available during certain seasons. Our web application accommodates all of these conditions correctly and in the end, it charges the money by credit card, generates an invoice and sends a detailed e-mail to the student and the school.

This particular course is offered in Vancouver and it is a course + exam package.
This web application development and corporate website re-design project was a major success for BDQWorks and LSC Canada.

When we started the Solo Performance website project, our goal was to create a beautiful e-commerce website that's easy to use. That's why we went out of our way to completely rewrite the default WordPress gallery system and "upgrade" it to what you see now on the Solo Performance website.
In an e-commerce website, the key to success is to make buying easier and bring the information to the visitor as fast as possible. Knowing this, the default WordPress gallery system just did not work for us. Our new gallery system takes the product picture into three different formats (thumbnail, medium size and full size when clicked) and then it organizes the entire gallery in a clean and simple manner on the right side.
As the visitor scrolls their mouse over the thumbnails, it changes the medium sized picture accordingly. When the mouse is left on top of the thumbnail for few seconds, a subtle message will appear on top of the medium sized picture to inform the visitor that the thumbnail can be clicked to display the picture's full size.

Our gallery system attaches a gallery to each product, allowing the visitors to see the product gallery and read the description easily at the same time.
Aside from our custom gallery system for Solo Performance, we created many more modules for the Solo Performance website. Some of our other modules for the Solo Performance website include: quick YouTube video add module, advanced sub-navigation system and the dealer-only login area.
The Solo Performance website was one of our favourite projects from 2011. Our website for Solo Performance has received tremendous amounts of positive feedback since its release.

Clara C is a popular singer/songwriter who performed for crowds of up to 18,000 people and has a very solid fan base on the internet and in the USA. One of the things that make Clara C so loveable is her fun and charming personality. Just one look at any of her music videos or vlogs will make you fall in love with her. This is why when we started the website for Clara C, we wanted it to be extremely creative and fun.
After pondering ideas back and forth, we decided to recreate the WordPress blogging template. Instead of listing the blog entries one by one, we decided to turn each entry into a square block, and pile them up nicely. In the end, it created a very creative effect which was completely different from the default WordPress blogging template.

Our blogging template for Clara C's website creates a completely different look compared to any other WordPress websites on the web.
Of course, we understand that some people may prefer the traditional blogging template. That's why we allowed the visitors an option to switch back and forth at any time.

The website for David MeShow was a unique project. Because David had a 50/50 fan base who spoke English and French, his website had to accommodate both audiences. However, an auto-translate option did not work for him because he did not like a lot of the text that was auto translated by the Google dictionary.
Our solution for David was to create a double blogging system for WordPress. This meant that he is now able to type his blog entries in French and also English. This module allowed David's fans to visit his website and translate any of the website text into David's French or English translation.

Upon entering David's website, visitors are able to choose the language they are most comfortable with. This choice will carry on through the rest of David's website. If the visitor wants to switch languages at any time, that is possible as well.

BDQCustom is our in-house content management system for Kohana MVC PHP Framework. We created this CMS because our company creates many web applications on a regular basis and we did not want to sacrifice content management functionalities just because we're creating a new web application.
Websites like http://bdqworks.com and http://stressless.kudosfurnishing.com are created on our Kohana CMS - BDQCustom. Our CMS offers a faster and a lot more customizable content management solution over other public content management systems like Drupal or WordPress.
BDQCustom CMS is released open-source under the MIT license and it is completely free for anyone to use.
Web Designer Jobs is a job database for web designers and programmers (like us.) The owner of Web Designer Jobs, Linda needed a website that is not only capable of handling the basic functions of accepting, editing and deleting jobs but also a web application that minimizes the workload.
Our web application accepts job postings, holds it in queue for moderation and does a monthly cron job of deleting old, outdated postings. It also allows the basic tasks of editing and deleting as well.
Once the jobs have been posted, visitors can search for the jobs they're looking for by category and also by the distance which is calculated using the Google Maps API.
